I'm getting back into multiplayer Gears of War after a short break. I've only been playing with people I know as everyone else seems to only use the game's exploits, rather than attempt to actually play properly. Playing multiplayer is great fun and hilarious at times, though I must learn not to scream down the headset so much. Speaking of which, I've abandoned the expensive wireless headset as it just doesn't work as well as the wired one.

Here's an useful link for those who’d like to see what they're paying for before they waste their Microsoft Points: www.dashboardthemes.com. The guys on the site buy and capture shots of the available dashboard themes for our convenience.
I try to avoid the themes as they are an easy way to spend cash. I did buy the Penny Arcade theme which is very nice except the blank ink outlines of the characters gets in the way of actually viewing the content of the dashboard. I also got the super-exclusive 'I played on Emergence Day' Gears of War theme by - believe it or not - buying and playing Gears of War on Emergence Day. Annoyingly enough 30 seconds into playing the game I got the three red lights of doom! Luckily enough I managed to get the box working for long enough to download the theme and gamerpic which to be honest, are not that great anyway!

I just completed the England level time trial unlocking the full 1000 points and found all the hidden artefacts finally unlocking all of the concept art and models (which is pretty cool), the cheats (which is pretty pointless), and all of the outfits. The outfits serve no purpose, though some are very well done. Goth Lara with mascara tears is my personal favourite as it is the most odd. I’m sure the younger demographic will enjoy Bikini Lara though.
Its the first game I’ve got the full 1000 points for. Each game has a different way of giving them out. I like Legend’s method, as it promotes you replaying the game and finding all the secrets, without going insane. There are some out there that just seem to be designed to instil madness, Ghost Recon and its get to the top of the leaderboard achievements for example. Multiplayer ones can be annoying especially ones to pull off a specific stat based trick like rack up 100 kills only using your toothbrush or something. I call it the BF2 effect after players of Battlefield 2 who run around the map with a knife getting shot in the face while your team are trying valiantly to storm a building, in order to unlock the knife badge. Dead Rising’s are interesting, as they consist of 50 20 point achievements, lots to do there.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted seems to have an easy set of achievements to get, you basically have to complete the game. I can’t get them though, because playing the game with its cheating AI makes me want to throw the controller at the TV.
As it's the last day of my holiday, and probably the last holiday for a few months I’ll be spending the time productively.

I've added some code that allows you to sort the columns by forum name or gamertag name so that if you are trying to match a gamertag up to a forum user, its a little quicker. Let me know if it doesn't work or misbehaves in some way!
That will be all the additions to the page. I might try and make a more advanced page soon where it will list the user's gamerscore etc, but I want to keep the current page nice and simple, so its fast and easy to use.
