My PC was custom built by myself. While I have built a fair few systems over the years this is only the second system I have built for myself as PCs are expensive to build and I have neither the need nor the craving for a faster system, especially now most of my gaming has moved to my Xbox 360. Its specifications are below:

  • Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz (Northwood)
  • Abit IC7 motherboard
  • 2GB GeIL dual channel RAM (4 x 512MB)
  • nVidia GeForce 7800GT 512MB AGP
  • Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS
  • Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 surround sound speaker system
  • Asus 16x DVD ROM
  • Pioneer 109 Black DVD-RW
  • Logitech MX1000 Wireless Laser Mouse
  • Logitech wired keyboard
  • Coolermaster Black Widow Case

All of this kit along with my Xbox 360 is hooked up to my beautiful Samsung R73 26″ Widescreen LCD HDTV (Model no. LE26R73BDX), PC on VGA and the Xbox 360 on component.

The PC has had a few upgrades over its life. The graphics card was originally an ATI 9800XT, it started off with only 1GB of RAM (upgraded when I was really into Battlefield 2), the speakers were originally an old 4-point Creative set that were part of my old PC and the old Logitech keyboard and mouse were swapped out too. The DVD-RW was a late addition, as I was always holding out for a drive that would match the black colour of my case.
